Bear Hunting in the Canadian North

Two legendary northern bears, two unforgettable hunts — the barren ground grizzly of the tundra and the polar bear of the sea ice.

Few trophies capture the spirit of the Canadian North like a bear taken on its own ground. Adventure Northwest offers two of the most demanding and rewarding bear hunts in North America.

The barren ground grizzly roams the vast tundra of Nunavut, feared by no animal — man included — in its domain. Exceptional specimens reach eight feet, and our spring hunts with the Burnside Hunters and Trappers Organization have been 100 percent successful.

The polar bear is the largest land predator on earth, hunted on the frozen Beaufort Sea in what is widely considered the toughest hunt left in North America. It challenges you mentally, physically and environmentally to your limits.

Only two grizzly tags are available per year, and polar bear tags are strictly limited. Contact Adventure Northwest to check availability.
