This is an eight-day, one-on-one hunt with six full days of guided hunting. A maximum of six hunters per week, or sixteen hunters per year, are accommodated for this hunt.
This hunt is operated in partnership with the Holman Hunters and Trappers Committee. Adventure Northwest is building a camp for our hunters and will have a representative from our company in the camp to ensure that everything is done to produce successful hunts.
Hunting Conditions
Clients are transported by floatplane from Yellowknife to the hunting camp located at the east end of Prince Albert Sound on Victoria Island. During the hunt, hunters are transported by boat and ATV until game is located; the final stalk is made on foot. Travel to the hunting area is by floatplane, which can be adversely affected by weather — as with all Arctic travel, you should be prepared to lose a day or two to weather.
Accommodation on the hunt is provided in a tent camp. There is an opportunity to fish for Arctic char and lake trout during the hunt.
What Is Included in This Hunt
- Transfer to floatplane base and return.
- Lodging in a tent camp.
- All meals while in camp.
- Services of one guide for every hunter.
- Hides will be salted in camp.
What Is Not Included in This Hunt
- Export permits / trophy fees.
- Licences and tags.
- Gratuities to staff.
- Accommodation and meals while in Yellowknife before and after the hunt.
- Turning of lips, ears, etc. on trophies.
- Taxidermy fees.
- Overweight baggage fees.
- Expenses incurred due to delays caused by weather, mechanical problems or other factors beyond our control.
- Canadian Goods and Services Tax.
